CAIVS IVLIUS LIGURIS PRESENTS THE PLANT OF THE MONTH

The Romans used a large number of plants for their Pharmacopoeia, but for other things too.

Aromatic plants were also used to complement meals and wines.

Spices were grown and imported as much to enhance dishes as for their medicinal virtues.

The ancient herbalist garden was also used to make cosmetics and body care products.

It is all these ancient uses that Christophe proposes you to discover. You will see that nature produces all the natural ingredients which allowed our ancestors to make their medicines for centuries.

Every month Christophe Savonitto our ethnobotanist propose to present you with a plant used by the anciens Romans. roman plant of the month AERA roman legion main page
